Accepted press releases are published substantially as submitted by the Submitter. The Underbite does not rewrite, fact-check, verify, or endorse the content of submitted press releases.
Disclaimer
All published press releases will include a visible disclaimer indicating that the content was submitted by a third party and does not represent the views, opinions, or endorsements of The Underbite or Four Legs Media LLC. The standard disclaimer will read substantially as follows:
"This press release was submitted by a third party. The Underbite publishes press releases as a service to the pet industry. The content has not been independently verified, and The Underbite makes no representations or warranties regarding its accuracy, completeness, or reliability. Publication does not constitute an endorsement by The Underbite or Four Legs Media LLC."
We reserve the right to modify the format, placement, or presentation of the disclaimer at any time.
5. No Performance Guarantees
The Underbite does not guarantee any specific results from press release publication, including but not limited to:
- A specific number of views, impressions, or page visits.
- A specific number of newsletter opens or click-throughs.
- Media pickup, backlinks, or syndication by third-party outlets.
- Any particular business outcome, lead generation, or sales impact.
Distribution through The Underbite newsletter is subject to standard email deliverability factors outside our control, including recipient email provider filtering, subscriber engagement patterns, and inbox placement.
6. Scheduling and Timing
We aim to publish accepted press releases in a timely manner. However, we do not guarantee a specific publication date unless expressly agreed upon in writing. Publication timing is subject to editorial scheduling, newsletter cadence, and volume of submissions.
If you have a time-sensitive announcement, please indicate your preferred publication date at the time of submission, and we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your request.
7. Post-Publication Edits and Removal

Submitters may request reasonable edits to a published press release by contacting us at support@theunderbite.co. We will make commercially reasonable efforts to accommodate edit requests in a timely manner, subject to the following:
- Edit requests must be submitted in writing via email.

- Removal from the website will be completed within five (5) business days of receiving a written request.
- Content that has already been distributed via newsletter cannot be recalled or removed from emails already delivered to subscribers.

This license survives removal of the press release from active publication, solely for the purpose of maintaining archives and backups.
The Submitter retains all ownership rights to the original content and is free to distribute the press release through other channels.
9. Indemnification
The Submitter agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Four Legs Media LLC, its officers, directors, members, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) the content of the submitted press release; (b) any breach of the representations and warranties made in this Policy; (c) any claim that the press release infringes or misappropriates the intellectual property or other rights of any third party; or (d) any violation of applicable law arising from the press release content.
