Vimian agrees to buy a U.S. soft tissue surgery maker

Vimian is adding soft tissue surgery to its MedTech business, agreeing on October 21st, 2026 to buy Norfolk Medical Products, a U.S. maker of implants and consumables for veterinary clinics. Norfolk had revenue of about $6.9M in the 12 months to August 2026, and Vimian expects to complete the deal on or around November 2nd.

Vimian says Norfolk complements its surgical line

Vimian CEO Alireza Tajbakhsh said the deal marks the group's "entrance into specialised soft tissue surgery" and complements its existing surgical offering. Norfolk will be integrated into Vimian's MedTech segment, the home of its dental and orthopedic businesses.

Funding comes from available funds, and Vimian expects a marginal effect on 2026 earnings per share. The group did not state a price, and Swedish business coverage reports none. The $6.9M is Norfolk's sales, not the purchase price.

Norfolk sells ports and bypass kits to clinics

Norfolk was founded in 1981 in Chicago, makes its products in its own facility and sells directly to U.S. clinics. International distributors carry the line in Europe and Asia Pacific. Vimian says training veterinarians with specialists is a core part of the model.

The veterinary line runs as Norfolk Vet Products, a division of the parent, from Skokie, Illinois. The catalog includes the SUB 3.0 ureteral bypass kit for dogs and cats, the CompanionPort vascular access port, the PleuralPort for draining fluid from the chest cavity and the T-FloLoc catheter flush. The SUB system has been on the market since 2009, and the line also covers urinary incontinence and liver shunts.

Jordan Dalton, Norfolk's owner and President, said in the announcement: "We have been close partners of Vimian's MedTech segment for many years." Vimian cites cross sales and veterinary education as the plan.

Norfolk is Vimian's latest small U.S. device deal

Norfolk is at least the fifth U.S. MedTech purchase under $10M in revenue that Vimian has announced since December 2021. Vimian's Movora unit bought IMEX, a Texas external fixation maker with about $2.3M, in December 2021 and the Spectrum and Everost product lines with about $6.5M in April 2022. In August 2022 Movora bought the assets of a New Jersey orthopedic implant maker with about $4.5M. In June 2025 Vimian signed for the California dental sealant maker AllAccem, with about $9M.

Each landed in MedTech, and none of those releases gave a price.

Movora has also added technology for the operating room. In April it signed a reseller deal to bring smart glasses to veterinary surgeons across North America.

Soft tissue surgery is new to Vimian's catalog.
