Spot & Tango passes $200M in annual recurring revenue
Spot & Tango said on October 15th, 2026 that it generates more than $200M in annual recurring revenue and has served more than 180 million meals, as Goldman Sachs honored founder Russell Breuer. The company says it is profitable, and its shelf-stable UnKibble now faces a rival format from The Farmer's Dog.

Spot & Tango said on October 15th, 2026 that it now generates more than $200M in annual recurring revenue and has served more than 180 million meals. The figures came as Goldman Sachs named founder and CEO Russell Breuer one of its Most Exceptional Entrepreneurs of 2026.
In April the company said it had passed $100M in annualized revenue. It was growing 50% a year and putting $3.5M into its first TV and out-of-home push.
An owned plant is doing the heavy lifting
Spot & Tango calls itself "a profitable, vertically integrated business." Breuer and co-founder Dylan Munro built it around UnKibble, a shelf-stable "Fresh Dry" food made in the company's own Allentown, Pennsylvania plant.
That plant keeps growing with the revenue. In June the company committed more than $20M to double UnKibble capacity and add 50 jobs.
"From day one, we’ve challenged how things have always been done in pet food, and I’m incredibly proud of the team we’ve built and the innovation we’ve brought to the category," Breuer said.
Shelf-stable fresh is becoming a two-player format
Spot & Tango no longer has the format to itself. In August, The Farmer's Dog launched a shelf-stable dry food it says rehydrates into a fresh meal.
That matters for anyone selling against fresh, because two of the biggest DTC fresh names now sell a fresh-style food that ships without a freezer. And Spot & Tango says its version already runs at a profit.
So frozen fresh brands face a real question. Does shelf-stable become the format that scales?
Spot & Tango and The Farmer's Dog have both placed that bet.
